Signs of Spring IN The Valley:

Down by the Creek:

Migrating birds begin to return in March, grass is greening, and out in woods this tough little harbinger of spring will soon be blooming. Hepatica acutiloba also know as Liverwort is the first wildflower you will find blooming in the valley. Look for white to lavender blooms, six petals above the foliage shown below. Liverwort is found on banks near the creeks. The Valley Way Trail is a good place to look.


Out in the meadow:
