The tubs which grow our vegys at LV are the same containers which were used to raise young trout when the canyon was a trout farm. This will be our third season growing the garden. Young plants are started as early as April 1st (our frost date here in the mountains is May 15th). We use row covers to protect young plants. During the summer transplants from small containers are used to replace vegys that are used. Greens are popular and we have had good luck with eggplant. Johnny's and Territorial seed companies provides us with an amazing assortments of seed varieties to grow. It is our goal for the garden to look good as well as taste good.
