Kids restless? There are thousands of section hikes in our area that can last for any number of days. Marcia and I just completed the Ga. section of the Appalachian Trail. We were dropped by a friend at Springer Mountain, the southern terminus of the AT. Our hike lasted 5 days and covered 70 miles. Our car had been left at the northern end of the trail where we ended our hike.
Around Lonesome Valley there are number of parks and wilderness areas where section hikes of any length can be taken. If we can help you plan a trip let us know.
