The two giant white pines shown here are to be found at the base of Laurel Knob. The shorter tree is 11' around the taller has a girth of 13'. Checking the North Carolina Forestery's list of champion trees the largest white pine registered in Jackson County, NC is 12.5' in circumference. Go LV! The larger tree is around 200' tall.
