We built this fire pit area for a customer who wanted to have a place for his grandchildren to do so marshmellows.
It was not expensive, is gas fueled, fire proof, has lots of seating, and is close to the grownup's deck.
We used gas fire place logs which the gas cost $350 installed. They are sitting on granite rocks and surrounded by river cobbles.
The area surrounding is gravel and flat sedimentary rocks so there os no chance of the fire escaping.
The rail is the right height to sit on and we built an rock wall on the opposite side.
We made the rail sections 8 feet log and used cabin notches to set them on the uprights.
This is a great design for folks living in town and are looking for a little cum by ya.
